Squirrel Causes Power Outage in Downtown Providence

It's hard to believe that a squirrel could be responsible for knocking out power to thousands of customers in downtown Providence, Rhode Island. In October of 2014, this tiny terrorist took out traffic lights, trapped people in elevators and set off multiple alarms all over the city. It stopped City Hall as well as Federal and State courthouse activity and held up business all over the city.

The problem started when a squirrel got into a metal pipe carrying electricity at the power station and damaged equipment.

While a squirrel in your home or attic may not have quite the same impact, it can certainly cause plenty of damage. If you suspect squirrel or other animal activity in your attic, give us a call. We can send a technician out to inspect your property and prevent animal damage.
